Successful nursing home photo shoot

Canopies UK recently completed a photography shoot at Little Gaynes Residential Care Home in Upminster. Having supplied and installed the white cantilevered canopy in July, the care home owner was more than happy to allow us to spend an afternoon with a local photographer to take some shots of the canopy, but more importantly shoot some lovely images of the residents enjoying a game of cards, having afternoon tea and generally relaxing in the shade the canopy offers. The canopy was installed to help provide shade from the sun, enabling the residents to get some fresh air and enjoy being outdoors, whilst in the surroundings of a lovely garden. It also creates a safe haven in the winter months and protects the ground from frost and rain, ensuring the area outside the back door is kept dry and safe.

“The canopy is already helping to extend our living space in the summer months and is a topic of conversation between staff and residents alike. We are using the canopy whenever we can, it really does offer us good flexibility”, said Joe Manku – Owner of the home.

“As we finished setting up and started the photography the sun came out and took the temperature up towards 20 degrees. This made the shoot a really pleasant experience for both us and the residents. Iris, Daisy, Katy and Daisy all thoroughly enjoyed their afternoon as models as did we. The day brought a massive smile to their faces and gave us some wonderful natural photography opportunities and we were so lucky to have a very enthusiastic set of models”, said Robert Cassidy – Marketing Manager at Canopies UK.
