The Schools & Academies Show (SAAS) is one of the UK’s leading education events. Over the past ten years, SAAS has had an important place serving the education community, offering senior school leadership teams expert guidance, practical advice and leading solutions to the challenges that face the sector.

SAAS is returning to the NEC, Birmingham on Thursday 17th November, and we’re really looking forward to being part of it. You’ll find Canopies UK on stand number D40. We’d love to see you there and have the opportunity to talk about how our canopies can provide schools with much-needed additional space.

Problem-solving in the education sector

At the Schools & Academies Show 2022, we’ll be on hand to talk about our problem-solving solutions to the overcrowding and space problems facing the education sector. The event provides a fantastic opportunity for us to talk to headteachers and decision-makers about the current space-related problems they are having in their schools.

At SAAS in 2019, 54% of the headteachers we spoke to said that dining space was a major issue at their school. Today, we still hear that accommodating increasing numbers of pupils during the school day is a problem. Particularly in poor weather, overcrowding during break and lunch times is difficult to manage. We know that creating safe additional space to accommodate everyone is a common objective.

Our canopies create sheltered areas for pupils to use throughout the school day. At a fraction of the cost of building an extension, schools can create more usable space. Multipurpose canopies provide extra room at lunch and break times and create additional space for learning, studying, meetings and extra-curricular activities. We also have solutions for parent waiting areas, covered walkways, sports spectator areas and more.

It’s our aim to show schools that extending space doesn’t have to be an enormous or costly undertaking. We work alongside schools to find a solution that works for them and their needs, ultimately improving their school environment. Our talented team can come up with bespoke solutions for sheltered areas based on each school’s specific requirements.

We’re looking forward to speaking with headteachers and decision-makers at SAAS and learning first-hand about the problems facing the sector. The insights we gather at events like this are invaluable. They ultimately result in us producing more effective, problem-solving solutions for schools.
